Beste Rob,

Bedankt voor dit interessante artikel! Ik ben erg benieuwd wat er uit verder sociologisch onderzoek gaat blijken. De relatie tussen opleiding en religiositeit is complex, maar ik denk dat die er wel degelijk is. Uit eerder onderzoek is ook al gebleken dat wetenschappers beduidend ongeloviger zijn dan niet-wetenschappers. Topwetenschappers blijken het vaakst ongelovig te zijn. Toch moet je voorzichtig zijn met dergelijk onderzoek: onder het woord ‘God’ worden veel verschillende dingen verstaan, en het woord ‘atheïst’ heeft voor veel mensen nog steeds een negatieve bijklank, waardoor ze zich misschien minder snel atheïst zullen noemen. Uiteraard zeggen dit soort onderzoeken niets over of God wel of niet bestaat.
