Ik las een reactie op jouw bericht, Bart. Inderdaad, ik ben ook van mening dat atheisme een ongelukkige term is. Je definieert je aan de hand van iets waarin je niet gelooft. Sterker nog, dit niet geloven wordt je opgedrongen door mensen die in een bovennatuurlijk verschijnsel geloven. The burden of proof ligt bij de religieuzen. Als ik beweer dat elektriciteit vloeibaar kan worden gemaakt, dan wordt mij gevraagd of ik dit kan bewijzen. Dat kan ik niet (dus heb ik het fout). Als ik geloof in een spaghettimonster in het heelal, dan wordt mij hetzelfde gevraagd. Ik kan het bestaan ervan niet bewijzen, maar, zeg ik, hij is ook onzichtbaar voor diegenen die er niet in geloven. Mijn punt is, dat religieuzen moeten bewijzen dat hun god bestaat en atheisten hoeven helemaal niets!
